One person died in a drive-by shooting outside a Hawthorne bar on Sunday night, police said.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. at The Greatest, a bar on the 13700 block of S. Inglewood Avenue, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.
Officers said the victim was hit by gunfire while sitting on the bar’s front patio. When they arrived, they found the person suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
Detectives are still investigating and have not released any details about the suspect or the vehicle involved. They are also working to determine whether the shooting was gang-related.
