I love reading new blogs.

Phigella
http://bit.ly/2GkAajP
Phillipa writes about herself and is proud enough to have a variant of her name as the blog title in large white letters. Her blog is still really young, in fact it was born in September 2017 but reading it is like drinking an unusually nice cup of coffee. The posts are efficient and the layout and font are gorgeous. If Phigella doesn't keep up her craft, I will probably stop blogging myself.

Food Stories

Helen actually makes a living writing stuff. Which is pretty cool. She lives in South London like me and enjoys cooking as well as travelling to restaurants and eating their nosh. I'm very jealous. Her blog has a great layout. The posts contain innovative recipes, very good photographs and decent descriptions.

Cateaclysmic

http://bit.ly/2HjbUjd
Cate has been updating Cateaclysmic since 2008. It covers trips, travels and Asian culture. The blog has a neat, clean feel to it. The writing is informative and sprinkled with great pictures, plus enthusiasm for the subject matter, which draws a following.

Toby & Roo
http://bit.ly/2Hhb0DX
Harriet is a mother who helps other mothers by providing information about motherhood. I like the unassuming decor of her site. I can imagine the content being very useful for its audience. The images are as adorable as they are high quality. Some of the posts are purely informative. As a result I nearly missed that Harriet can write entertainingly. She can.

Phil Slater
http://bit.ly/2CuOLH3
Phil writes about himself with so much wit and self-deprecation that I thought his first post had been guest-written by Obama. The layout is mega clean. Many bloggers waffle accidentally but Phil does it deliberately, which is brilliant and shows a human side that is missing from too many blogs these days. The images do their job although they could be chosen more carefully.

Segilola Salami
http://bit.ly/2o7bynY
Segilola's blog exists as part of her website and covers a range of topics like food, fashion and books including her own: Yetunde: The Life and Times of a Yoruba girl in London. Her blog is neat, original and you're bound to learn something from it. It even contains a kids TV channel. Updates are posted regularly. This could be made clearer if the latest post was moved to the top of the page.

Brunette on Demand
http://bit.ly/2HmbiJS
Mariya writes about fashion, beauty and lifestyle. She has plenty of advice in these respects. Her blog is incredibly smartly-presented. The updates are frequent, the writing is clear, it's informative and the images are very high-quality. Personally, I would swap any one of those things for some additional depth to come through in her writing but everything else is in excellent shape.

Peo Davies Group
http://bit.ly/2szn8Nx
Peo Davies is a communications group in Nigeria. Their blog posts vividly document both the local and international significance of Nigerian language and culture. Their Channels Book Club video in particular is brilliant. I would suggest putting a brief line of text near the top of the site to summarise what PDG is, for newcomers. They may also wish to improve the quality of the background image.

KSInfo
http://bit.ly/2HnGJn2
This blog covers religion, music and general news in a thought-provoking way. I love the way the author writes and there are original insights to be found in his religious-themed analysis. The combination of the writing style and insights mean that KSInfo has good potential. The theme and image quality could be improved.

From Michigan To Germany
http://bit.ly/2F9HJdW
Cherie documents her family's formation and emigration from Europe to America. This in itself makes it worth a gander and her friendly, funny style made me feel like I knew the bunch of them in no time. The photos are entertaining. I'd recommend upping the image quality and changing the layout so that it looks less Wordpressy.

The Beast Is Loose
http://bit.ly/2BvMQ8d
Naomi is one of my dearest friends and I love her to bits. She moved to New Zealand in 2016, where she galavants and frolics, takes pictures and writes about it all in her blog. The Beast Is Loose is honest, inspiring and uses plenty of images. I wish Naino blogged more often. I'd also like to see her go deeper into her experiences rather than hopping from one to the next.

Life of an Indian Girl
http://bit.ly/2BzkMBb
Ritika is a schoolgirl in India. She writes eagerly and clearly has a strong national identity. Given her age and that I can't work out much about her background, she gets bonus points. I think Ritika has done really well to dip her toe into the water of blogging. Increased frequency of posts would give her the practice she needs to grow into her potential, which is clear from the energy in her narrative.

I want more blogs to review.
Especially personal, autobiographical blogs with a soul.
If that's you, send me a link and I'll check it out.
